Over the course of his illustrious Yankees career, Derek Jeter, the 1996 American League Rookie of the Year, appeared in 14 All-Star games, won 5 Gold Glove awards, and won 5 World Series titles. He led his team to the Postseason in 16 of his 20 seasons, including 7 World Series appearances. On May 14th, 2017 the Yankees honored Jeter by retiring his number. Yankees rising star Gary Sanchez was the catcher behind player when Jeter threw out the ceremonial first pitch during his retirement night.
