Muhammad Ali RARE framed 1960 Olympic Torch Collage with multiple signatures! A shadowbox display featuring items pertaining to the participation of Muhammad Ali (then named Cassius Clay) in the 1960 Summer Olympic Games held in Rome, Italy. Clay would go on to win the gold medal in boxing's Light Heavyweight class at the 1960 Games. The featured item in the shadowbox is an original 1960 Olympic Torch that has been signed "Cassius Clay" on the handle. The torch is made of bronzed aluminum and produced by the manufacturer Curtisa of Bologna. It has a classical design, slim with slightly conical fluting, and the engraved handle guard reads "Giochi Della XVII Olimpiade" accompanied by the five Olympic rings. The base of the handle is stamped "3281." The torch is accompanied by its original packaging, a canister adorned with the primary logo from the 1960 Olympics and text that reads "Giochi Della XVII Olimpiade." The canister is signed "Muhammad Ali" twice and "Cassius Clay/ AKA/ Muhammad Ali" once, all in black marker. The torch and canister are framed together with a 1960 Rome Olympics participation medal. The bronze participation medal was designed by Professor Emilio Greco and features a female running and bearing the Olympic torch with the Olympic rings in the background. Also encased in the shadowbox are a 1960 Olympics mini-banner that reads "Olimpiadi/ 1960/ Roma" featuring flags from different countries bordering the outside of the banner and a group of uncut tickets from the Rome Olympics, including one for the Opening Games on August 25, 1960; three from boxing matches dated August 29, August 30, and September 1; and a ticket for the Closing of the Olympics dated September 11, 1960. Also included in the shadowbox is a print of a black and white photograph depicting Ali (Clay) training for the Olympics while wearing a "U.S.A." sweatshirt. The photograph is signed "Muhammad Ali/ aka/ Cassius Clay" in blue marker.
