Mission Statement : The Alex Sebahie “Never Back Down Foundation” was created in the memory of Alex Sebahie, a New Jersey wrestler, who was taken from us way too soon. Alex’s legacy was “Never Back Down”, so our mission is to convert tragedy into opportunity; to pass on that determination and perseverance to local wrestlers and community in need of assistance. The goal is to help young athletes to excel; not only on the wrestling mat, but to excel in life as contributing young adults in the real world. Wrestling builds character and work ethic, the basic tools to achieve success in life and to make positive choices. Wrestling also has a dedicated, loyal community of patrons of the sport, a community who should be made available to assist young men and women of all ages and backgrounds. It is this culture of unity and willingness to give back that is our vision; to help continue to grow and support the sport of wrestling and pay forward to all aspiring young athletes in Alex’s memory.
